My friend was issued a HSBC credit card but never used it, and is being charged 15 $ per month, is this right? My friend, who knows limited English was sent a credit card issued by HSBC bank in the mail. He signed the application, and was sent the card. He never used the card, but started getting bill statements that he owed 15 dollars, then next month 15 more, with a late fee. He eventually sent 90 dollars, and thought is was over. After more statements he sent 90 $ more, and then, he told me about it. When i saw the statement it said he now owed 159 $, and that the account has been sent to collections. When I called the bank, they refused to talk to me unless he authorized it via a letter that is faxed to them. We sent the letter, and now, they said it will take 7 days to verify the letter. The bill says 30 dollars are due on sept 13. He sent a payment of 30 dollars last month, on the 7th, which was due on the 13th, and they said it was late because they received it on the 15th. Does anyone what we can do about this? We live in california if that helps.can they charge fees this way? he has tried to cancel through other people interpreting for him. Last month, he sent a written letter requesting cancellation, something that the credit card company required, and still he was charged again this month. He didn't know about the monthly fee. should he send more money? they said it's been sent to collections, but then why is the bank still charging money? friend cannot read or write or speak english. When i tried to cancel the card on his behalf, they requested a signed authorized letter. now they said that will take seven days to go through.

I find complaints from services from HSBC credit card n hotline.Non flexible at all.Any advise/recommendation? I am complaining not regarding to their payment schemes. I will pay before their due date and a platinum holder but then its just that they are not flexible in terms of their asssistance. In example, I encounter problems abt a car insurance return and cancellation of supplementary card holders and change of address is also a hassle. Maybe I do demand for customer service in the sense flexibility and comfort and effectively. I do reckon Citibank is better in terms of customer service and effective, user-friendly.

HSBC Credit Card Charges? Hi, From what i understand if you buy something and pay it back at the end of the month then you wont get charged on the purchase. This is fair enuf. However with taking cash out @ a cash point you will get charged, Plus then charged interest on top. My question is. If you buy something and then get cash-back will you then get charged for this? or will it have the same terms as a normal purchase and as such if paid in full that month you wont get any extra charges? anybody has a secured hsbc credit card? it sucks!! they never report to all credit bureaus, if they do is 2 months later, is a ripoff!!! they advertise that it helps to build your credit.... how? if they don't report to all 3 credit bureaus as they advertise...it think this is consumer fraud
How long would they send you a bill for your credit card you purchase? I buy three things with my credit card it s a hsbc bank credit card my bill is 6150 i add it up.
